Hey everyone , this is a problem i am trying to work out
. I am trying to use a dynamic solution somewhat like the coins , knapsack etc. problems . DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR POSSILBE SOLUTIONS ? HOPE U ALL RESPOND ,THANKS
THE PROBLEM FOLLOWS:
For a given set of K prime numbers S = {p1, p2, ..., pK}, consider the set of all numbers whose prime factors are a subset of S. This set contains, for example, p1, p1p2, p1p1, and p1p2p3 (among others). This is the set of `humble numbers' for the input set S.
Note: The number 1 is explicitly declared not to be a humble number.
Your job is to find the Nth humble number for a given set S. Long integers (signed 32-bit) will be adequate for all solutions.
Input format
Line 1: Two space separated integers: K and N, 1
Line 2: K space separated positive integers that comprise the set S.
Sample input
4 19
2 3 5 7
Output format
The Nth humble number from set S printed alone on a line.
Sample output
27

IOPC International Online Programming Contest
Dear Friend,
IIT Kanpur, as a part of its technical festival, Techkriti, is organizing
IOPC - The international Online Programing Contest
IOHC - The International Online Hacking Contest
IOPC will be held on 17th February, 2007 and will run for 24 hours. IOHC will be
held on 24th February. Both of these provide you a platform to compete with the best
around
the world. You get to solve some real tricky problems, and at the end
of the day you could be the winner of handsome prizes too. Fun, isn't it?
Prizes:
We offer one of the highest prizes in the country! A total prize of close to $2000
is at stake.
In 2006, more than 1000 teams (which included several international
teams of top-rated coders) particiapted in the contests. We hope that
this time the particiaption will be even higher.
So what are you waiting for ? Register online now !! Check out the webpage at :

By linear programming, you are referring to...(Basic?) and by object...(C,C++,Java?) If so, how should I go about learning these (download compiler, online tutorials,etc..)?
I am already partially familiar with Basic, but by no means am I an expert, If you know of any other "linear" languages, please tell me. Thanks. (0) |

Not that I'm an authority on the subject of programming, but none of the questions you could ask could be dumb, just a comment. (1) |

Dude, ADD is a made up disease. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever to back it up, I don't care WHAT psychiatrists have to say. You're simply manifesting misunderstood word phenomena. There is a word somewhere earlier in the subject of programming you to a degree or completely, did not understand.
I am an expert on the subject of how to study for the purpose of applicable knowledge.
Your brain's got not a thing to do with thinking. (0) |

Start with a "beginning programming" book. They go over the basics and work you into choosing a specific language. (0) |

I know the name gets you to thinking I know programming like the back of my hand. I don't though. I am trying to decide which language to choose. I try to do whatever I do as a professional. As in I take it to an expert level. The trouble I run into when doing things like this is it's daunting when I'm going for expert and I still feel like an amateur (0) |
